  History

Union School International – Baguio City is a non-stock and non-profit institution under the Union School International Foundation USA Inc. It was established in 2004 and a five member Board of Trustees was elected to organize and govern the affairs of the school.

They were deeply burned by the tremendous need to offer international quality Christian education, that is firmly rooted in Biblical truths integrated in the curriculum. It was their desire to inculcate into the minds of young people, Christian values and doctrines which are much needed in our complex and perplexed society. They were challenged to envision young people who can stand amidst the pressures and challenges of the world, be leaders, and transformers through the love of God.

The school is located close to the Central Business District of Baguio City, yet enjoying the parklands and greenbelt the city offers. It remains a beacon of eternal hope and light to the City of Baguio under the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.

            2005    A pioneer batch of 13 children started the first year of operation. Children found plentiful space in the converted house for their studies, worship and socialization.
They were closely guided by a staff of thirty.

2006    As the student population grew elementary classrooms were added and the two-hundred and fifty seat John Wesley Worship Centre. In addition was a new library facility and administration building.

2008    This school year witnessed the arrival of the first Kindergarten students along with the William Carey Worship Centre and building which also housed a new science facility and music practice rooms. Also, new Fine Arts program was introduced that included a School Band of forty members, Elementary and High School choirs, and Drama team.

2009    One hundred and fifty students were ministered to throughout the school year representing seven different nations, by a staff from six different nations. 

Union School International (USI) continues to follow a program of self evaluation and self improvement as it seeks national and international accreditation by The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). USI is also recognized by the Department of Education through Government Recognition Number 0003, s. 2007 (SED); and 022, s. 2008 (EED).

The mission of the school it to help produce Good Christian Global Leaders and through the diverse student body and the vision and experience of the faculty and staff a unique blend of cultures and experiences help to shape a global understanding guided by the authority and culture of the Bible.

We recognize our Lord to be the true head of the school, and as the body we have be entrusted with different functions in assisting and motivating each USI Family member to reach their full potential.
