Commissioned with Purpose, Anchored in Hope

5/29/2026

May 29, 2026 — Union School International (USI) successfully held its 22nd Commissioning and Completion Ceremony under the inspiring theme, “Generations of Hope: Anchored in His Word,” drawn from Hebrews 6:19: “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”
The ceremony brought together students, parents, faculty members, staff, and distinguished guests in a meaningful celebration of academic achievement, spiritual growth, and God's faithfulness throughout the school year. The event honored the accomplishments of Grade 6 and Grade 12 graduates, as well as Grade 10 completers, recognizing their perseverance, dedication, and commitment to excellence in their educational journey.
The program commenced with a solemn processional, followed by a vibrant praise and worship session featuring “I Thank God” and “Living Hope,” led by the Uni Worship Team. Grade 10 student Cyrina Y. Fisher delivered the opening prayer, setting a reverent and uplifting tone for the occasion.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was the inspirational message delivered by Pastor Julius Solis, President of the Board of Trustees. In his message, he encouraged students to remain steadfast in their faith, trust in God's guidance, and confidently pursue the path He has prepared for them.
Grade 12 student Yeonwoo Lee introduced the guest speaker, Ms. Rowena Balinon, an accomplished educator, Principal of Come and See Christian School, and former Registrar of Union School International. In her keynote address, Ms. Balinon inspired the graduates and completers to embrace their future with courage, purpose, and unwavering faith in God.
The presentation of completers and graduates was led by Ms. Jennifer M. Bogayong, School Head, while the confirmation of completers and graduates was conducted by Pastor Abraham Cho, International Director. This was followed by the awarding of certificates of completion, diplomas, and special awards, recognizing students for their academic excellence, leadership, character, and outstanding contributions to the school community.
The audience was deeply moved by the tribute song, “Shine Your Light,” while Sophia Lauren L. Bayon of Grade 6 led the Pledge of Loyalty. The commissioning song, “We Rise,” beautifully reflected the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of the graduates as they prepared to embark on new chapters in their lives.
The valedictory address was delivered by Yechan Roh, who graduated with Highest Honors. In his heartfelt speech, he expressed gratitude to God, teachers, parents, and fellow students while emphasizing the importance of faith, perseverance, humility, and service. The graduation prayer was offered by Yejun Lee of Grade 12.
Adding to the celebration was a special presentation of “This Is Me” by the USI Chamber Orchestra, showcasing the artistic talents of the students and highlighting the school's commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals.
The ceremony culminated in the commissioning rites officiated by Pastor Julius Solis and Pastor Bokju Ha, School Chaplain. Together, they prayed over and commissioned the graduates and completers, blessing them as they move forward into the next stage of their academic, professional, and spiritual journeys.
The event concluded with a benediction and recessional, leaving attendees inspired, encouraged, and filled with hope for the future.
The 22nd Commissioning and Completion Ceremony served as a powerful reminder of USI’s mission to develop students who are academically equipped, spiritually grounded, and firmly anchored in God's Word. As another generation of learners steps forward into the future, they do so carrying a hope that is secure and steadfast in Christ.
Union School International extends its heartfelt congratulations to all completers, graduates, awardees, parents, faculty members, staff, and supporters who contributed to the success of this memorable and significant occasion.
